Airbrush Tanning

Scheduling?

Schedule your appointment for your spray tan 36 – 48 hours prior to your special occasion or event.

What time of day should I book my spray tan?

We have appointments available day and night. Book whatever time works best with your schedule. Keeping in mind your skin should be free of all deodorants, perfumes, lotions and oils. Also, if you tan topless you won’t be putting your bra back on until your tan develops.

Should I shower before a spray tan?

If possible, yes! Moisturizers, makeup, and deodorant should all be removed prior to your appointment. Furthermore, if you haven’t exfoliated in a while, you’ll want to do so a few days before. As for waxing and shaving, handling the matter before your appointment is best.

What do I wear to a spray tanning session?

The answer here, DON’T BE SHY! Our professionals have seen it all. From drag queens to nude grandmas, the less you wear, the better the results. However, if you’re more comfortable in undergarments, please feel free to wear them! The same applies to UV tanning.

Will I see results right away?

YES! Our specially formulated solutions have cosmetic bronzers to give you a peek of how you will look once your spray tan is fully developed.

Should I shower before a spray tan?

Wax 48 hours before your appointment. Wax can stay on the skin and make it difficult for the tanning solution to hold. Shower at least 4 hours before your appointment. This gives your pores time to close to avoid discoloration or lighter tan results. Exfoliate the days leading up to a tan but not on the same day.

Should the color rinse off in the shower?

Yes, but only the first rinse. Remember about the cosmetic bronzers? They leave you with a sense of how you’ll look when its developed, but it all must go down the drain in that first shower! The real tan is just underneath waiting to wow you! So don’t worry as you see color washing away.

Your First Shower After Your Spray Tan

Be gentle. Use cool to lukewarm water and the palms of your hands to rinse bronzer off taking no more than 3-4 minutes.

On a personal note: Please do not pee in the shower with a spray tan, the ammonia in the urine will cause your tan to streak. No hot water or soap for that first shower.

How long will my tan last?

With proper care before and after your tanning session, the tan will typically last 7-12 days. Our solution works with your natural pigment to create a flawless tan on every skin tone. If you’re looking to extend the life of your tan, we offer top of the line sunless products to extend your flawless tan!

UV Tanning

Is indoor tanning as effective as going outdoors?

Studies show that indoor tanning salons help develop a base tan more quickly and effectively than outdoors because of the controlled environment.

Will I burn in a tanning bed?

Depending on your skin tone, our experts will recommend a starting time to ensure the best results, without burning. Further, the MATRIX high pressure unit filters out the majority of UVB (burning) rays.

Can I wear my contacts while tanning?

Due to demoisturization during the tanning process, it’s highly recommended that you remove your contacts prior to tanning. Our salon carries a variety of protective eye wear to ensure the safest, most comfortable experience.

Should I consult with my doctor before visiting a tanning spa?

While the tanning process is generally safe, there are certain risks associated with medications and some health conditions. If ever in doubt, the best path is always to consult with your physician first.

How many sessions will I need?

Depending on the tanning device, your current skin tone, and the level of bronze you would like to achieve, sessions can vary. For the best results, consult with our tanning specialist to determine the best path.

Botox

How does BOTOX work?

Using an ultra-fine needle, small amounts of Botox are injected into the desired area. The injection blocks nerve signals and helps muscles to relax, resulting in a smoother appearance.

Is BOTOX painful?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, however, most of our clients report minimal discomfort. In fact, many people visit us during their lunch hour and return to work after treatment!

Again, everyone is different and so are the results. That said, it usually takes 3-5 days to see the results of your BOTOX treatment. For some, it may take up to two week before the final effects settle.

How long do the results last?

Typically a single BOTOX treatment will last between 3 and 5 months.

What do I need to do to prepare for my BOTOX treatment?

To minimize any potential bruising, clients should stop taking medications or supplements that thin the blood – aspirin, ibuprofen, Ginseng, etc., about a week before their appointment. It’s also recommended to discontinue the consumption of alcohol.

JUVÉDERM®

What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is the leading collection of fillers to temporarily lift and contour cheeks, smooth lines, or plump lips!

How does Juvederm work?

Juvederm temporarily restores your skin’s volume with the use of a modified form of hyaluronic acid. HA is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume.

What is the treatment process like?

Your aesthetic healthcare provider will take your medical history and provide a facial analysis. Be prepared to discuss your aesthetic areas of concern. This is not a surgical treatment. Actual treatment with JUVÉDERM® injectable gels can take 15 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on which area of your face is being treated.

Does it hurt?

JUVÉDERM injectable gels labeled with “XC” contain pain-reducing lidocaine to help manage pain or discomfort during the injection. You can also ask about a topical numbing cream or ice to help further minimize discomfort.

Where is Juvederm used?

Different formulations are approved to either volumeize cheeks, smooth parentheses lines, smooth vertical lip lines, or plump the lips. The results are subtle and long-lasting.

  • JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE™ XC softens moderate to severe parentheses, lines and wrinkles by adding subtle volume around the nose and mouth in adults over the age of 21.
